We have had an anamazing week, and have been so lucky with the weather.  Explored many of the beatiful beaches around the area.  Really liked Bantham beach.  The girls loved the Miniture Ponty Centre at Dartmoor, a great day was had by all.  A huge thank you to Sue & Pete for making us feel so welcome. The girls have used the pool and loved the playground so much.  We enjoyed the scones & wine on arrival!!  Snaffle was a perfect base for us thisweek, just wish we could have stayed another week.   Stayed in Snaffle Apr/May 2013.

Lovely family get together in beautiful surroundings.  Kineton was ideal and the other facilities excellent!  Loads of inside play space for the children, but the cold weather finally shifted so we had two sunny warmish days.  We even made it to the beach!!  We recommend Cafe Asia for a Chinese.  Good food and excellent delivery service!  Slapton Beach is the best shingle I've been on and Totnes is Totnes!  If you haven't been it's a must.  Thank you for a lovely stay.   Stayed in Kineton May Bank Holiday

A first holiday with our grandchild together with his mum & dad, two aunties and an uncle.  A great location and accommodation, hosts Pete & Sue cannot do enough to help.  I did not realise there was so much to see & do in the area so a weekend was just not enough - we will have to "force" ourselves come back!   A brilliant first holiday and thanks to all.        Stayed in Kimblewick May Bank Holiday

A wonderful, relaxing place with a lovely welcome from Pete & Sue.  We really loved playing tennis & swimming & the beautiful surroundings - we enjoyed helping feeding the animals & especially the enormous pigs!   We also had amazing weather, a real bonus & went to Blackpool Sands & Bantham beaches.  We haven't had time to do everything we'd like to so maybe we'll come for longer next time. A special family time.  Thank you and love to you both.     Stayed in Pelham May 2013

What a wonderful week we've had here at Pitt Farm - Thanks Pete & Sue.   The cottage is lovely - spotlessly clean & a relaxing & comfortable place to call home for a week.  The bread & croissants from the shop are delicious & late night craving for ice cream made the honesty shop a very useful place indeed!  The farm itself is lovely - we've loved the playground (especially the trampoline), the playroom, the pool, picnics outside & Cameron has developed quite an obsession with the chickens - I suspect they'll be glad we're leaving!  Have had a lovely, lovely week pottering around Salcombe (inc North & South Sands), Dartmouth - steam train/bus/boat trip, Bantham beach & hopefully time to fit in Blackpool sands on the way home.  Thanks so much - we've had a fab week & will definitely be back in the future.  would definitely recommend.       Stayed in Mullen April/May 2013

Everyone has had a great time and we have found the accommodation and facilities at Pitt Farm quite exceptional.  Sue & Pete have been excellent hosts - and we have all enjoyed the croissants and fresh bread each day!  Lunch at The Fortescue Arms was just special - we could recommend it!  We are sad to leave, but will hopefully return.    Stayed in Kimblewick April 2013

I  really enjoyed staying at Martingale, we had lots of fun especially in the games room.  The swimming pool was fantastic.  I played tennis a few  times and that could've been my favourite thing.  The Easter Egg hunt was amazing.  We fed the animals, those goats are ticklish with the pigs.  The trampoline was realy fun in the park that was one of the best bits.  We all hope to come again. Thank you.  The Smiths say - This is a wonderful place to stay.  A visit to Dartmouth Castle is a must.  Thanks to Pete & Sue for being amazing hosts.  We will definitely be back.  The Bartlets say - Thank you Pete & Sue, we had a fantastic time, lots to do even in the bad weather.  Al stayed in Martingale   April 2013

Another great week at Pitt Farm, thank you Pete & Sue!  We came last year and enjoyed it so much that we had to visit you again.  Shame the weather was cold & wet this time.  The children enjoyed the playground and especially the swimming pool.  Also seeing the animals.  Thanks too for the Easter Egg hunt, great fun!  Woodlands was great fun for all of us, young and old.  Start Bay Inn at Torcross was good for lunch when we met up with another family, so 4 young children.  Loved Totnes, shops, cafes and Harbour.  Hope to see you again.   Stayed in Snaffle   April 2013

We have had a very relaxing visit, and loved all of the facilities here, - especially the swimming pool and tennis court. Everywhere around here is beautiful, towns, beaches and cafes.  Our favourite place around here is the Woodlands Theme Park, a massive place with brilliant rides - not far away either!  Tracy & Andy add  Thanks to Pete & Sue for being such wonderful hosts! We love it here, very peaceful, loved the accommodation & great facilities.  Would recommend Dartmouth for pub lunch, loverly harbour town, Woodlands theme park for kids of all ages as there is loads to do.  Lovely beaches at Blackpool Sands & Slapton Sands (shame it rained though!). Would definately recommend "the Chase pub at Lustleigh" (near Bovey Tracey) for the best Sunday roast!  Thanks again, hope to return in the future!   Stayed in Mullen April 2013

A fantastic week here in Snaffle, it has been so relaxing and Pete &Sue so very welcoming and warm without encroaching our space.  The cottages are set in such a beautiful spot and we've explored lot's of Devon.  Hope Cove was beautiful at low tide, perfect for our son, Noah, to explore.  Datmoor - Badgers' holt at Dartmeet - provided a good spot for afternoon tea as well as fun on the rocks in the water.  Salcombe & Brixham also lovely.  Well done Pete & Sue for hosting such a fabulous location, the children loved the animals, games room & tennis court.  Noah says  Dear Pete & Sue, Thank you so much for such a great week down at Snaffle and Pitt Farm.  We enjoyed the park, the tennis court, the games room and many more places.  i loved feeding the chickens, the goats and Harry and Lulu.   stayed in Snaffle    Easter 2013

We've had a very enjoyable second Easter visit. Outside it was more like "in the bleak mid-winter" with December temperatures and some snow flurries.  Inside we enjoyed the warmth oft he cottage, Pete & Sue's welcome and all the facilites (no tennis allowed this year because of last year's broken shoulder!).  we have enjoyed the local towns and the warm cafes rather than explore the countrysied this time.  Good visits to Pennywell and further afield to the donkey sanctuary at Sidmouth. Let's hope for warmer weather Easter 2014  - we're sure we'll be back!   P.S. We'd recommend the shop for the daily croissants and the walking murder myster tour of Totnes from the shop.   Stayed in Mullen Easter 2014.

We celebrated Jo's birthday and Easter day in the Fortescue Arms and had a deleicious meal with georgous desserts!  really worth visiting.  Thank you    Stayed in Kimblewick Easter 2013.

The setting in the well managed Devon landscape with newly turned red soil glowing red at sunrise & sunset.  Quite close to some of the nicest historic towns of Devon.  Accomodation big, good and with a super hot water system capable ofcountering spring & winter cold.  Lovely time, the children loved the pool, games room, tennis & the Easter Egg Hunt.  Lovely walks, great fun at Berry Pomeroy Castle, Buckfastleigh Steam Railway.  Cafe Asia chinese delivery V. good.   Pete & Sue very helpful, we loved the little shop, all in all a lovely stay.  Thank you. Wow, what a lovely week we've had.  Pool and games room were a great asset with two teenage boys!  Snaffle cottage is absolutely lovely and suited all 3 generations of our family well. The Queens Arms at Slapton did a fabulous meal - mixed grill, plaice, various pies - and at great prices too, and a lovely warm welcome.  Coleton Fishacre great to visit - ferry from Dartmouth, all added to a great day there.  Thank you so much, we thoroughly enjoyed our week, our only regret is that we didn't book a fortnight!      Stayed in Snaffle March 2013

We used the cottage for a week to be with our family, some of whom we don't see as often as we'd like.  Celebrated our twin daughters' 30th birthday the first weekened- we especially liked the space offered by the cottage and great use was made of the pool - particularly enjoyed by our 20 month old granddaughter, Chloe.  The open fire provided many hours of entertainment owing to the challenge of keeping it alight!  All in all a great venue. Our temporary hosts Mike and Margaret were lovely and very caring.      Stayed in Kineton March 2013

Dear Pete and Sue.  Thank you for letting me and my family stay in your cottage Snaffle.  The swimming pool, the games room, the tennis court, the chickens, the adventure playground were all fantastic, but my favorite of all was the swimming pool.  The best thing about the swimming pool is that we get to have some ice cream from your shop afterwards.  We love it here!  See you soon.   Stayed in Snaffle February 2013

A big thank you to Sue & Pete for accommodating us here at Pitt Farm at such short notice.  We have stayed in several places in Devon over the past few years, but we all agreed that this has been the most homely and welcoming of them all.  The cream tea was delicious and enjoyed by all of us and the bottle of wine, very unexpected but went down easily on our first night here.  Ella and Chloe (aged 5 & 2 years) loved the animals and trampoline and spent hours making a lot of things out of the basket of duplo.  The pool was used by all of us.  We wished that we could have stayed longer but we all needed to get back to our busy lives in the city of Bristol.  We would definitely recommend Pitt Farm to all our friends and family as it is an ideal base for visiting Totnes, Dartmouthand beautiful beaches.  Stayed in Kineton October 2012

Thanks so much for an amazing holiday - super location & fantastic facilities for our son.  We've had a great holiday and can highly reccommend The Winking Prawn as a place to eat with small children - North Sands Salcombe, & when the tides out the North Sands is a lovely beach.  Sunset at Hope Cove is also not to be missed. We had a great time at Pitt Farm.  The swimming pool and tennis court are excellent and James (age 1) loves the farm animals.  We did the treasure trail around Totnes and it was excellent.  The Pitt Farm shop was very useful when we had forgotten something.  Out of the beaches we went to Thurlstone was my favorite, although it had lots of seaweed.  Bantham and Bigbury were also brilliant.  Berry Pomeroy Castle, near Totnes was brilliant!  It is a large castle and wood with an audio tour.  The Totnes shops were also very nice.  Kingsbridge farmers market was very nice and had lots of nice shops/stalls.  The South Devon Chilli Farm is also a nice place to go to to purchase plants and chilli foood or a chilli meal.  It was great here and I would love to come again.  Stayed in Kimblewick August 2012

Pete and Sue,  Thank you so much for an excellent two week stay here in Snaffle.  The children have really enjoyed the pool and play area, and seeing the animals.  We've also had some great beach days, especially at Bantham (recommend the Sloop Inn for lunch!) and some nice visits to Dartmouth and Salcombe.  The Fortescue Arms and the Church House Inn at Marldon were both excellent for food too, with good outdoor space for the children.  Hope to see you again!  Stayed in Snaffle 2012

We had a really nice time in Martingale, despite the fact that the weather wasn't overly great!  Most of the time the weather wasn't that bad, but we had the occassional drench.  We had some lovely days out at Paignton Zoo, Becky Falls, Crealy and Bugbury on Sea beach.  We have had a lovely time spending every day  in the swimming pool and playing table tennis and pool in the games room.  We had a brilliant holiday and felt very welcome, thank you.  Look forward to visiting the area again.   Stayed in Martingale July 2012

What a lovely cottage and beautiful surroundings! Enjoyed the swimming pool - a bonus.  Recommend Bigbury on Sea for an absolutely fantastic beach - shallow enough for toddlers to play and we even managed to walk over to Burgh Island.  Recommend the "Poop deck" restaurant in Brixham if you are a seafood lover.  Will definitely come back in the future, maybe with our large family to stay in a bigger cottage.  Loved the little "shop" and honesty box.  Well done Pete & Sue on an idyllic place to stay.   Stayed in Cavasson July 2012   P.S. Enjoyed the welcoming cream tea!

This by far the best "sleep 2" cottage we have ever stayed in.  This cottage is spacious, very clean and comfortable, and all the furniture/contents are of high quality.  The kitchen is very well equipped.  The main reason we booked this cottage was the faciilties, and they didn't disappoint.  We regret we didn't have time to play tennis, but once again, the facilities we did use(pool, table tennis, pool table) were in excellent condition.  Having an internal phone system was very useful.  We would absolutely recommend this to a friend, and the only reason we are not booking straight away is that we tend to go to a new destination, but if ever we were to return to the area, we will be back to Pitt Farm!  It has set a new benchmark for cottage holidays.  Also - the ice cream was delicious.   Stayed  in Cavasson October 2011.

have had a lovely holiday here in Kineton.  The cottage is superbly equipped & the facilities are excellent for all ages!  The weather was dry and sunny which did help!  We visited lots of places including Pennywell Farm - a MUST with young children - we spent all day there, there is so much to see & do.  Also the "round robin" on the boat from Totnes, train from Kigswear and open top bus from Paignton to Totnes.  Good beaches for the little ones are Bantham and Bigbury - good rock pools and sand.   China Blue at Totnes is excellent for glass blowing and other crafty things - good coffee shop too!  All in all a really good visit.  Stayed in Kineton August/September 2011

The Lewises & Bentons of Hampshire

4 happy children & 4 happy adults.  Great stay here - fab beaches, Gara Rock, Soar Mill Cove, East Portlemouth, Burgh Island.  Stayed in Kineton August 2011

Pitt Farm has been a lovely location for our three generation family holiday this year and Kimblewick has proved an ideal cottage for 8 of us to stay.  The little ones have loved the animals and the play area and we have all enjoyed the pool.  Sadly we didn't get round to using the tennis court - maybe next time!  This was our first visit to the South Hams and we relly love the area, with visits to Totnes and Dartmouth topping the list.  Thank you for making us so welcome, we would love to come back.   Rachel says "we splashed in the stream".  Stayed in Kimblewick August 2011

Louise, Duncan & Jessica,    West Yorkshire

This was our first visit to Pitt Farm and we had a wonderful week.  Jessica said it was so nice in the cottage and loved the animals, although I bet the chickens were glad to see her go after chasing them so much!  Los of love   xxxx     Stayed in Cavasson August 2011

First visit to Pitt Farm - had a fantastic week.  Sue & Pete have been very welcoming and kids loved feeding the animals with Pete.  Everywhere very accessible from here, Bantham, and Hope Cove beaches great in different ways.  Cottage really well equipped as is Games Room.  Great relaxing holiday for all the family.

To Sue & Pete, I had a fantastic time here at Pitt Farm, I loved the cottage and how close to the swimming pool, games room and farm. I loved the goats, the pigs and the hens.  I am sad to go because I love it here.  Thank you very much, love Zoe  Stated in Mullen August 2011

Betty, Brian, Robert, Richard, Finlay (12), Jasper (10) and Scarlett (8)

We enjoyed our week, and found Pete and Sue charming hosts.  The children loved the pool and games room and some improved their tennis.  Our cottage had everything (and more) that we needed, and all felt very much at home.  We know the area quite well but the family discovered other places of interest.  Despite the mixed weather we had a lovely time and will return.  Thank you Sue & Pete, with love.  Stayed in Kimblewick August 2011

 Linda, Chris, Ali and Duncan

This is our 12th consecutive year at Pitt Farm! Most of which has been in Mullen.  Weather was not so kind to us for the last half of the week but it didn't deter Duncan from enjoying the surf. We had lovely meat again from the butchers in Loddiswell - we highly recommend it.  Thanks again to Pete and Sue for a friendly welcome and the nice touches like wine, milk and cream tea on arrival!  We'll be back again - especially if we could book the weather too!  Stayed in Mullen August 2011     Note from Pete They have booked again for the next 2 years, congratulations to Ali on his A level results and Duncan gets the award for the longest time in the Sea (5 hours one day without a wet suit!)

Jon, Sarah, Emily (9) and Matthew (5)

This was our second visit to Pitt Farm, and has once again been a great week.  The weather wasn't brilliant, but it didn't matter. We spent a lot of time swimming, playing tennis and pool.  A good family day out was Woodlands Adventure Park.  There was something for every age of child, and well worth the money.  Bantham beach was lovely, even in the rain, as we had it all to ourselves, so the cricket ball didn't get in anyones way.  Hope to return again.   Stayed in Snaffle August 2011

Too many guests to list!

but we all had a wondeerful time at Pitt Farm. Enough space for ten of us to really enjoy ourselves, a really warm welcome (particularly the barbecue!) and lots of on-site facilities as well.  All topped of by a beautifully pastoral view, whet more could we want?  An excellent stay, thank you very much.  Stayed in Pelham August 2011.

We have had great fun here at Pitt Farm. We loved the tennis court and swimming pool, we visited them every morning. The cottage was great. I found there was enough room for us all to fit in properly.  We loved using the BBQ outside and we ate on the outside bench most nights.  We also found lots of good beaches. Bigbury was great and quite large and we had great surfing lessons on Bantham. We found both had great sand, rockpools and sea which baby James (9 months) enjoyed. We visited Dartmouth Castle on dressing up day and they did sword fighting, mini scenes of the castles history and a great walk. Unfortunately it was hard to park there.  Another place we went to was a pub, The Fortescue Arms, we did a quick walk from Pitt Farm, ask Pete for directions.  Overall this holiday was great and we are hoping to come here again next year.  Stayed in Kimblewick July/August 2011.

The Redwoods

We had a super family week here, blessed by dry if not truly warm weather.  the evening walk to the Fortescue Arms has become a delightful ritual past the sheep and the huge expanse of bluebells.  We had great day trips to the South Devon Railway to see Thomas and his friends and to Paignton Zoo. Both great value for money and more than you can do in a day. both willl be worthy of return visits when we next come, albeit there is so much more to see.  Staying here (on the Farm) for a day is fun too.  We like the light and bright public rooms in the cottage, and having a good sized lounge.  The pool, the animals and the play areea gave us a lot to do.  Thank you Pitt Farm, see you again.  Stayed in Kineton May 2011
